- IF YOU PROPOSED VACATING DATE IS DURING THE FIXED TERM OF THE LEASE
Notice does not apply as you are "breaking your lease", but as much notice as possible should be given to allow us time to find a suitable tenant at minimum cost to you.
In this case you will be responsible to pay:
Rent until a tenant (approved by the landlord) moves into the property or, the lease expires whichever comes first.
Expenses incurred by the landlord finding a new tenat for the property including listing on the internet, ($30.00)
advertising (at cost) and a rei-letting fee equivalent to 1 week's rental + GST. -

Twenty one (21) days written notice
OR IF YOUR LEASE AGREEMENT IS ABOUT TO EXPIRE:
Written notice must be given BEFORE the end of the lease.
At least 14 days notice must be given for a vacating date on or after the last day of the lease
